Sinopsis:

The timeless love story imagined by the Bard knows no geographic barriers. Thus, the South Korean repertory theater company play it from within the rich traditions of this Asian country. Shakespeare's verb melts into the rhythms of the Korean identity.

The German newspaper Wiser Kurier wrote about this Asian production presented in a European festival:

”Every scene is stunningly beautiful, as if a painted canvas unfolded before your eyes." (Alexander Schnackenburg)

A traditional Korean mise-en-scène fills the stage with colourful fabric, rich cotumes and props… the wedding night in hide-and-seek under the ample blanket, the lively baquet, cups clanging, the drum & lantern dance… Korean words, Korean moves, a new vision, the Romeo and Juliet Korean version.
