Emil Boroghină

An actor and director, president of the Cultural Foundation Shakespeare, and former manager of the National Theater Marin Sorescu in Craiova, he is the director of the International Festival Shakespeare. A laureate of the Romanian Academy, he is also the recipient of the UNITER Excellence Award, and British Council Best Theater Manager Award.


 Prof. Doina Modola

A literary and theater critic, an essayist, and collaborator of a number of specialized magazines, she was the recipient of the Special Prize for Theater Book, awarded by the International Association of Theater Critics in 1999, and of the UNITER Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007. She is a member of the Writers’ Union (Cluj Chapter), and IATC.ro


Doru Mareș

A poet, translator, journalist, and theater critic, he used to be the manager of Andrei Muresanu Theater in Sfantu Gheorghe. He was the recipient of the UNITER Award for Theater Criticism in 2015. He is a permanent collaborator of the weekly Cultural Observer and the daily Free Romania. He is an IATC.ro member.


Claudiu Groza

A drama critic, theatre critic and journalist. He graduated  ”Babeș-Bolyai”  University in Cluj, where he lives between festivals and premieres. He has a 23 years professional experience, while he also worked in journalism and at the radio, he wrote and published books and studies (Theatre Science Studies, The Bibliography Computer, Armchair Globetrotter), he was a member in various theatre and literary juries and saw hundreds (thousands) of performances. He is currently the curator of The New Theatre International Festival in Arad and an editor for Tribuna cultural magazine.


Pompilius Onofrei

A journalist and radio producer, he has been following every aspect of the Romanian cultural phenomenon, for twenty five years. His programs, such as The Morning Show and Saturday Night Show have been a mark of Romanian radio, while his voice has identified with such programs as: Great Actors, Famous Autographs, Little Actors from Romania and Gramophone.

Mircea M. Ionescu

A playwright, theater reviewer and essayist, he is a member of the Writers’ Union, and of the Foreign Press Association in New York. A theater manager, journalist, analyst of the Romanian and foreign cultural phenomenon, he has been awarded many playwriting, and excellence in theater management prizes, but he has also received awards for his contribution to the development of the Romanian sports media.


Ioana Mihaela Morar

IMM  is a 2002 graduate of the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, at the Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. She began her career as a psychology specialist officer in the penitentiary system, at Gherla, in 2004.  

She was the head of the Psychosocial Assistance Department at the Gherla Penitentiary, between 2006 and 2010, when she began coordinating the activity of the Social Reintegration Division. She held the responsibility of the Deputy General Manager of the National Administration of Penitentiaries, between December 2014 and December 2015.

Since 2010 she was instrumental in organizing the Theater Festival for Detainees.


Andreea Neagoe

AN is a 1999 graduate of the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, at the Bucharest University. A sociology specialist, she began her career in the penitentiary system as an education officer at the Colibaşi Penitentiary, in 2003.

Since 2008, she has been working as a specialized officer in the Social Reintegration Division.

She has supported the organizing team of the Theater Festival for Detainees since 2010.


Petronius Craiu

Editor at AGERPRES National Press Agency. Bachelor of Journalism and Philosophy. Starting 2010, he makes filmed interviews with personalities from the cultural area, he writes about national and international theatre festivals from Bucharest and elsewhere in the country, and about premiers in the capital-city.
